An engineer's curiosity.A closer's grit.An adventurer's perspective.

Genuine and curious by default, happiest in the deep end. Eight years selling complicated things to global enterprises, including Verkada and ExxonMobil. Now: opening doors for companies in industrial software, specialty materials, IT and AI, and the guy founders call to build AI powered outbound. Kind to people, relentless on the follow up.

Where I've carried the number

Engineer by training.
Closer by trade.

My grandfather, Dale DeWitt, a lifelong farmer, teacher, and eventually House of Representatives Majority Leader, is my hero. He has negotiated with world leaders such as Fidel Castro and dedicated his life to helping students, teachers, and farmers. He taught me that you show up early, you fix it yourself, and your word is everything. And when it all goes sideways: take a deep breath, everything is going to be alright.

I took things apart before I could spell them. Working since twelve. Finished every math course for the engineering degree while still in high school. Hungry from the start, and it hasn't worn off.

Two degrees from Oklahoma State, Mechanical Engineering and Economics, then a left turn most engineers never make: sales.

The habits carried over. Finding where a system breaks became market intelligence. Building things that run without you became outbound automation. Trusting the numbers became data driven sales.

Long cycles, technical products, global buying committees. I run a territory like a portfolio: time goes where the return is.

Ikigai · why I do this

Where the four circles meet.

Ikigai is the Japanese idea of a reason to get up in the morning: the overlap of what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for.

Mine is building sales engines for technical companies. I love the building. I'm good at the selling. Founders need it badly. And it pays. Most days the four circles line up, and the days they don't are the ones I learn the most from.

2026 – Now

Where I'm moving the needle right now

A few companies I'm helping grow at the moment: specialty materials, frontline operations software, embedded engineering, and my own shop.

Bonus: still a partner at Telgea, the Telenor backed telecom I helped bring to the Americas.

2025 – 2026

Verkada

Global Enterprise Account Executive

107% of quota, 70% self sourced. Ranked 2 of 12 on the global enterprise team. Co-sold every deal through the reseller channel, working VAR partners across global markets. Keynoted to 400+ security leaders and walked away with seven figures of pipeline from one talk.

2023 – 2024

AddUp

Enterprise AE, Americas

Sold metal 3D printing systems into Tesla, Stryker and Northrop Grumman for the joint venture between Michelin and Fives. Ran discovery and negotiation in Spanish across LATAM. Reported directly to CEO.

2022 – 2023

Eastman

Chemical Market Manager

118% of quota on an eight figure portfolio. Grew the medical segment 190% in a year by landing Align Technologies and GE Healthcare. President's Club, top 5% globally.

ExxonMobil

Industrial Sales Engineer

Grew an eight figure territory 43% in three years, managing 9 distributor reps across key industrial accounts. Three straight years at or above quota. Trained the entire US sales org on modern CRM tooling.

"Most teams are still running outbound on willpower and spreadsheets. I build the engine that replaces both."

What I'm actually doing.

Work has its own section. This is the rest.

The Garage

Ford Rangers first, a long line of Honda and Suzuki motorcycles, and a 1965 Mustang, white, all stock, just finished. The engineering degree finally pays for itself.

The River

Boys' trip, year ten

Same crew every year. Kayaks, beer, no cell service. The Buffalo River in Arkansas is home base. It's the one week nothing gets sold.

Year ten starts the same way: kayaks in, phones off.

Water

Surf, kite, spear

Sri Lanka, El Salvador, Puerto Escondido, the Canaries, spearfishing in Los Cóbanos. Learning to fly fish for the Ozark creeks.

Sunset toast at the end of the world. W Trek over 3 days with my best friends.

Snow

Chasing powder

Niseko, Utah, Colorado. Snowboard first, skis when the group votes that way. Heli-ski is booked and I'm trying not to think about it.

Trail

Up and over

Kilimanjaro summit, Torres del Paine, Half Dome, Havasupai, a volcano in Guatemala. The rule is simple: if there's a ridge, we're walking it.

Sharpening the sword

40+ goals a year

Every January I write down forty-plus goals: books, languages, races, skills, trips, people to call. Most get hit, some get carried over, none get ignored. The point is to be a little better than last year, every year.

Don't forget your roots. Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Don't take my word for it.

"Drake stood up our entire outbound motion in a single working session. ICP, lead pipeline, email and LinkedIn sequences, CRM, all running on Claude before we finished the call. We'd been quoted months and five figures for less. He builds like an engineer and thinks like a seller."

"Drake, in the last week you have created value for CreoValo. In one hour of conversation, the amount of outbound I've been able to generate is ridiculous. Big investment banks can't do this. This is how we win."

Tim Vorhoff

"I'm a director and storyteller. Sales and sourcing leads is the worst part of the job and is time away from creating art. Drake built me an outbound system that finds the right clients, writes the emails, and keeps my pipeline moving while I'm out on shoots. Ninety minutes of his time replaced what would have been my entire admin week."

Got something worth closing?

An enterprise deal, a referral into Telgea, or an outbound engine that needs building. Fifteen minutes is all it takes to find out.
